How recommended is it to take my time with Madoka Magica?
I've seen a few people suggest it, so I want some more input. I watch most anime 2 episodes a day
If you recommend I watch it slower, then how much? Weekly?

Given that the series is only 12 episodes long, it's entirely feasible to binge the whole thing in an evening, over a total runtime of about 5 hours. Watch 6 episodes, dinner break, watch the back half.
Or you can do what I did in college, which was watch the first two episodes, set it aside for a few days, then watch episodes 3-12 in one sitting, and then watch the entire series again through the night, finally going to bed at like seven in the morning, but not really sleeping because the story got stuck in my head and wouldn't leave (and also sunlight was streaming in lmao)
Either way is totally viable, and will make for a good experience.
If you'd rather just watch a few episodes at a time, that's also valid.
There's only one hard rule I'd ever impose on this series, which is to put a substantial span of time between watching the TV series and the first time you watch the movie sequel (Rebellion Story). Like no less than a few weeks TBH. I think the movie works better if you have a firmly rooted sense of the "status quo" at the end of the series, so that you can appreciate how the movie is springing off from that status quo.
